Chris Chapman - Raleigh, NC
Chris was born and raised in Virginia Beach but has many family ties to North Carolina. A proud East Carolina University graduate, he's now a middle school science teacher living in Raleigh, NC.
Chris started fishing in high school for bass and catfish on Lake Gaston and quickly developed an interest in fly fishing. He began learning by fishing for wild brook trout on the Rapidan River and other small streams in western Virginia back in the late 90s. He may not live in the mountains but he makes regular trips to western North Carolina to take advantage of the many beautiful trout streams the state has to offer. And though he now has a strong preference for trout he does enjoy fly fishing for everything from panfish and bass to carp, and even stripers.
"Fishing has always been enjoyable as a pastime but what I really enjoy is learning new techniques on the water and improving as an angler."
